Who I am, and why I'm doing this:

At the ripe "old" age of 35 I decided it was time to have a baby. I had a good job, a great partner, and I felt that we were finally "ready" to get pregnant. Little did I know that getting pregnant was going to be something more difficult, emotional, and stressful than I have ever experienced. After many months of failed pregnancy attempts and then two miscarriages I felt like something HAD to be wrong with me and I was lost and isolated. It seemed as though all my friends had gotten pregnant easily and years prior to me, and I couldn't find any resources that I could relate to or people to talk to about this conception experience.
After what seemed like an eternity, I FINALLY got pregnant with our first child, but again felt lost and isolated at times wondering "is this normal" and constantly freaking out that something was wrong. Friends with children seemed to have "forgotten" what it was like to be pregnant (and yes, women actually DO forget, it's biology's way of getting us to go through the experience again), so I didn't know where to turn and would find myself in a black hole of google assuming the absolute WORST regarding something totally normal like mild cramps.

Now, 2 kids deep, countless late-night amazon orders, and endless subscriptions to programs that promise to get your kid to sleep through the night, I decided something MUST be done to help others that are going through exactly what I went through.

I realized I was not alone, and I wanted to create a resource for women going through the same confusing, stressful, and emotional experience that comes with trying to conceive, being pregnant, and then the first year of parenthood. This is a resource created for women, by women. It is meant to be a REAL and TRUTHFUL version of everything associated with pregnancy.
